About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardiology Outpatient and Diagnostics department at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking three Patient Access Coordinators (Band 3) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The post holder will work cross-site covering reception, diagnostics, and administrative duties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient queries, day-to-day appointment scheduling, processing referrals, and ensuring clinics are cashed up daily. You will liaise regularly with clinicians and administrative teams to ensure patients receive the most appropriate appointments and the best possible experience.

Experience
- Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, demonstrating the ability to handle difficult customers and challenging situations
- Experience of working both autonomously and as part of a team
- Desirable: Knowledge of medical terminology
- Desirable: Experience of an administrative role within the NHS
About you
- Dedicated and enthusiastic with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise, organise, and communicate clearly and effectively
- Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Understanding of confidentiality and its application in the workplace
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage workload efficiently and meet tight deadlines
- Desirable: Knowledge of key waiting times targets including 18 weeks
- Desirable: Knowledge of Trust hospital systems such as PIMS (Patient Information Management System)
Qualifications
- Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience
- Desirable: Customer service qualification or training
- Desirable: IT package qualification or training such as the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
