The Patient Access Team is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Team Leader with excellent communication and customer service skills. This role involves day-to-day line management and leadership of junior administrative staff, supervising workload and allocating tasks to optimize service provision across the service hours (8am-6pm).
The role operates in a dynamic environment focused on RTT recovery and patient care. The successful candidate will lead a team providing high-quality administrative support within a busy office, handling complex and sensitive issues with minimal supervision. The team delivers patient booking, cancellation, and appointment rescheduling services for a range of centralized services trust-wide, working through a contact centre to offer patients choice and reminders for outpatient appointments.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to work collaboratively and independently, and proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. The post holder will contribute to the smooth running of the service and effective liaison both internally and externally.

Experience
- Extensive business administration experience demonstrating key functions of providing administrative support
- Experience working in a customer service setting

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
- Proficient in IT systems and applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent written English skills including grammar, punctuation, and structuring written text
- Ability to work methodically in a busy environment and meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Evidence of formal further training through short courses and significant experience in hospital administration
