About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Specialist Supportive and Palliative Care team (SSPCT) for a cross-site Patient Pathway Coordinator role. You will be a key point of contact for patients, service users, and the multidisciplinary team, supporting the efficient day-to-day activities of the SSPCT. The role involves managing referrals for both inpatients and outpatients, ensuring timely review and assessment, and working closely with nursing teams and clinicians. You will provide comprehensive administrative support, assist with quality improvement projects, coordinate meetings including the SSPCT MDT, and maintain up-to-date databases. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a busy, fast-paced operational environment who is looking to make a positive impact on palliative care services and patient experience.

Experience
- Significant proven experience delivering high standards in a customer care environment
- Ability to deal independently and efficiently with a range of issues
- Proven administrative experience
- Experience of an administrative role within the NHS is desirable

- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to manage difficult service users and challenging situations
- Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines

- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of governance processes is desirable
Qualifications
- Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Evidence of formal further training in short courses
- IT package qualification/training (e.g. ECDL) is desirable
- Educated to diploma level or NVQ 3, City and Guilds certificate level in business administration or equivalent is desirable
