About the Role
As a PRAM Engineer (Performance, Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) at HS2, you will support the delivery of an end-state railway that meets PRAM system-level requirements. You will facilitate the development of PRAM requirements across HS2, ensuring coordination across the organisation to deliver integrated PRAM elements.

Working closely with the Senior PRAM Engineer, you will support the strategic approach to PRAM throughout HS2, ensuring suitable resources, tools and processes are in place. Using appropriate analysis tools, you will define multi-disciplinary requirements, interfaces and technical solutions for each function and capability.

You will be accountable for facilitating the disaggregation of PRAM requirements into delivery organisation and contract works information, ensuring clear delivery obligations. You will support tracking PRAM delivery progress throughout the lifecycle, undertake System Level Reviews (SLRs), and escalate issues where progress is off track.

During testing, commissioning and in-service phases, you will support the collection of PRAM information through DRACAS and FRACAS to measure reliability growth and advise on corrective actions.

The role involves close collaboration with technical specialists in engineering, operations, maintenance and system safety to ensure coordinated development and delivery of PRAM requirements.

You will actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.

Experience
- Managing standards, engineering and safety activities on engineering projects or programmes
- Supporting management of competing project and engineering demands with cost and schedule implications

About You
- Able to provide specialist technical support and leadership on discipline-specific scientific, technical and engineering principles
- Capable of supporting the Standard Owner under guidance of the Standard Discipline Owner
- Able to support project development and delivery teams under supervision with technical or commercial management considerations
- Able to communicate discipline-specific technical ideas effectively
- Understands principles relating to standards, safety and environment and can articulate them
- Applies principles and methods for effective information management, modelling and data security, knowing when to seek guidance
- Actively promotes and embeds Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all work

Qualifications
- Knowledge of applicable UK construction regulations including CDM requirements
- Understanding of the Common Safety Method (CSM) for risk evaluation and assessment
- Understanding of the Regulatory/Legislative Framework relevant to HS2
- Commercial awareness including cost delivery, schedule targets and integrated solutions
- Knowledge restricted to own discipline
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status or membership of an appropriate professional institution, or equivalent experience
