As a Senior/Principal Fire Safety Engineer, you will deliver fire safety engineering services as part of a multi-disciplinary team, applying your expertise to the design of buildings and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.

Your responsibilities will include applying fire engineering principles in building design, attending on-site, client and design team meetings, and contributing to winning and delivering projects with fire safety components. You will be involved in technical delivery of fire safety services, design and drawing appraisals, checking compliance with Approved Document B, BS9999 or fire engineering design standards, and providing technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Requirements

Experience
Extensive experience delivering fire engineering solutions across commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and defence sectors. Proven ability to manage projects and workloads independently within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Experience in all aspects of fire engineering consultancy including fire dynamics principles. Demonstrable experience with fire and evacuation modelling software or structural fire engineering methods is advantageous.

A qualified and experienced Fire Safety Engineer with meticulous attention to detail. Positive, proactive, and self-motivated with a friendly and personable approach. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients at all levels. Holds a full clean driver’s license and is prepared to undergo security clearance.

Qualifications
Relevant fire safety engineering qualifications and professional accreditation appropriate to the role.
