About the Role
Tetra Tech is seeking an Associate Security Consultant to join our leading security team. This role offers exciting opportunities to work across a wide variety of sectors alongside a team of professionally registered security experts with extensive experience. You will contribute to prestigious built environment projects by delivering security strategies and technical designs that support our clients’ aspirations. The team serves a distinguished customer base, tackling some of the most challenging security projects across the UK.

Key responsibilities include managing forecasting and prioritisation of resources across the security workstream, acting as a point of escalation for clients and Principal Security Consultants, leading delivery of complex multi-disciplinary security projects, and supporting day-to-day operational coordination including accurate project information maintenance. You will maintain situational awareness through coordination with National Technical Authorities, line manage Principal Security Consultants, support their professional development, and contribute to business development by fostering strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.

Requirements

Experience
- Demonstrable experience in security risk management within the built environment
- Proven track record delivering security projects in a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment
- Significant experience producing technical reports, threat and risk assessments, operational requirements, and specifications aligned with RIBA Plan of Work stages
- Strong understanding of security risk management principles, policies, and procedures, with ability to lead developments in these areas
- Excellent knowledge of industry initiatives such as Secured by Design, security research, technology, and innovation
- Experience engaging with clients to establish clear security briefs and technology requirements
- Significant experience with risk management processes aligned to ISO 31000
- Ability to manage and prioritise project team workloads including delegation and quality assurance
- Good understanding and demonstrable experience of electronic security systems, physical security design, and security operations within the built environment (with one discipline preferred)
- Ability to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) prior to appointment and willingness to obtain UKSV SC and DV clearance
- Willingness to travel across the UK to support projects or attend client sites

About You
- Chartered member of a professional institution related to security or engineering
- Excellent command of written and spoken English with strong communication skills at all levels internally and externally
- Sole UK National due to security clearance requirements
- Willingness to work flexibly within a hybrid model, balancing office, site, and remote work

Qualifications
- Relevant degree-level qualification in security or a related built environment discipline
