About the Role
The Principal Pharmacist will lead the Formulary and Interface Service, developing the formulary service for South East London while considering local and national NHS needs. You will contribute to the operational development of the South East London Integrated Medicines Optimisation Committee (IMOC) and identify necessary changes to enhance the role of the Joint Formulary Committee (JFC). Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues in primary and secondary care, analyzing the workload of the Joint Formulary service, and advising on resource deployment to meet service demands. You will also manage the consultation process for formulary applications and medicines-related pathways, supervise the work of the band 7 Joint Formulary and Medicines Pathways Pharmacist, and prepare presentations for the JFC and SE London IMOC. Additionally, you will contribute specialist knowledge to the healthcare environment, assign and assess drug evaluation projects, and integrate research evidence into practice.
Experience
Experience in formulary management and interface services is essential. Proven leadership and management skills are required.

Qualifications
A relevant pharmacy degree and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) are required. Additional qualifications in clinical pharmacy or related fields are desirable.
