About the Role
Private Wealth Management (PWM) secures, develops and manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation strategies tailored to each client’s risk tolerance, providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth management products and services, including private banking and trust company services.
The Investment Strategy Group (ISG) within Goldman Sachs PWM is responsible for strategic and tactical asset allocation views and providing advice to the firm’s high net worth clients and certain institutions. The Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) team within ISG seeks to generate tactical alpha for clients’ portfolios by investing across macro asset classes including equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities. The TAA team also publishes widely distributed reports and Outlooks annually, communicating macro investment views to clients.
We are seeking a junior Associate to monitor market conditions, conduct in-depth research and generate actionable investment insights across developed government bond markets, with a primary focus on non-US government bonds and derivatives. The role involves building innovative data monitors, quantitative models and trade screening tools to assess market conditions and generate predictive investment insights. The hire will also support the internal macroeconomic research team and may expand coverage to cross-asset volatility markets and collaborate with other market strategists.
Experience
2-5 years of experience in investment research, trading, or related roles within asset management or financial services focusing on fixed income or macroeconomic research. Experience with European/UK government bonds and options strategies or derivatives is a plus.

Strong passion for markets and investing. Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with attention to detail, patience and the ability to multi-task under pressure.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, STEM or a related field required. Advanced degree (Master’s or CFA) is a plus. Proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial modeling using Excel and Python. Additional European language skills are considered beneficial.
