Description
Project and Programme Management Responsible for the development, delivery and coordination of designated projects across KHP partners and the local system, in particular leading our recent commission with the South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA) on improving cancer outcomes for adults with serious mental illness. Ensure that the leads for the various projects have clear responsibilities, priorities and timescales and work coherently to deliver against the project milestones Responsible for managing other team members working on the designated projects (either directly or through matrix management) Ensure appropriate monitoring arrangements are in place to report on progress to the Programme Board and other governance structures as appropriate (e.g. Kings Health Partners Executive) Identify key risks in delivering projects and ensure strategies are in place to manage these effectively with key stakeholders and partners Deploy clear and robust quality improvement methodologies within project and programme plans to ensure issues with implementation and effectiveness are proactively identified and mitigated Proactively problem solve and negotiate where issues arise in the development and implementation of projects Lead contact for all queries relating to the designated projects Responsible for performance management and evaluation of projects through reporting against plans, milestones and deliverables and working with experts across the partnership Responsible for completing monthly, quarterly and annual reports for key projects and contributing as appropriate and as required to reports completed within the Mind & Body Programme. Strategy, Quality & Service Improvement Lead on the publication of presentations, reports or briefing documents, working with wider stakeholders and the KHP Communications team as required, to raise awareness of the programme and highlighting local successes and challenges Undertake critical appraisal of evidence as required to support project delivery Ensure that the approach to all projects takes account of the diverse needs of local populations, and is culturally sensitive and equitable Ensure mechanisms are in place to gather data and insights to monitor relevant projects/programme delivery, and support related audits, benchmarking and research. This will include: o Identifying the key benefits to be accrued by projects, their dependencies and timescales o Identifying, accessing and analysing both routine and specific data in relation to mind and body care in different settings o Working with a range of stakeholders to collate, maintain and interpret a core dataset, and lead on associated deep dive analyses and audits o Ensure a systematised approach to the dissemination of programme findings, evidence and learning Working with clinical teams, lived experience practitioners and partners from across the system to develop recommendations, gain support and consensus, and plan for service improvement initiatives ensuring best value and an outcome-based approach, when required With or on behalf of the Programme Director, provide oversight to the wider work of the programme, including reviewing education and training, engagement and communications plans. Management and Leadership Represent the programme and present on its scope and progress at relevant sector, regional and national meetings and events Lead on liaison with wider networks at sector, regional and national levels to facilitate dissemination of the programmes learning and relevant tools, including securing support for further development of physical health interventions for mental health services and facilitating and chairing discussions at local and system-wide level as appropriate / required for the project Liaise with others across South East London (and beyond) who are undertaking similar or relevant work to capture existing learning and use to inform a localised evidence-based approach Line management responsibilities for Project Manager(s), involving daily supervision, recruitment, disciplinary, appraisal, development and finances. This will include monitoring workload and prioritising as necessary and developing/contributing to team spirit based on continuous improvement and proactive approach Provide mentoring and support to those working on designated projects Demonstrate leadership with regards to influencing and decision making to ensure the programme remains clinically relevant, effective and appropriate in a number of different settings Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Leading system wide forums to share learning and work collaboratively across organisational boundaries Proactively build relationships and work closely with a range of colleagues from across the system to encourage collaborative working and to build trust Ensure that the voice of service users and carers and people with lived experience are routinely heard and acted upon throughout development, delivery and evaluation Work with a wide range of stakeholders to influence change and overcome barriers to understanding Effectively communicate highly complex, sensitive and contentious information with a high level of sensitivity and diplomacy, including to audiences who may be challenging Facilitate and lead meetings of clinicians, managers, patients and other partners to agree priorities and action plans Support consensus building and manage conflict or opposing views whilst encouraging participation from all involved Financial Responsibilities Maintain a balanced, delegated budget for Mind & Body projects, where relevant, including appropriate understanding and implementation of standard financial instructions Ensure all resources are managed efficiently and effectively Other Duties Meet regularly with the Programme Director with regards to programme activity Deputise as necessary for other members of the Programme team Undertake ad-hoc projects and pieces of work as specified by the Programme Director Manage own workload in an unpredictable environment with constant interruptions, prioritising and competing deadlines Carry out other duties commensurate to the grade as and when necessary.
