As a Project Manager in the SDF (Service Delivery Framework) Roads team, you will work alongside talented professionals ranging from early career to established engineers and project managers. The team focuses on improving local and strategic road networks across the London & South East region.

The National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF) is a multi-billion-pound procurement strategy used to maintain, renew, and improve England’s Strategic Road Network (SRN). It enables regional, collaborative, and performance-based contracts for works such as pavement, civil engineering, and technology to enhance safety and efficiency.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of moderately complex projects, being accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and resource management, while ensuring quality and compliance with WSP’s procedures and client requirements. The role offers an interesting and varied workload including:
- Developing project scopes, managing schedules, controlling budgets, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Leading stakeholder engagement, managing expectations, and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and issues, maintaining registers and mitigation plans
- Overseeing procurement activities and contract compliance, working within NEC or similar frameworks
- Ensuring deliverables meet agreed quality standards and fulfilling reporting requirements
- Managing project documentation, tracking milestones, resources, and change control
- Mentoring and upskilling junior staff to support their professional development and progression towards qualifications
- Collaborating with clients and key stakeholders to successfully deliver schemes and projects

Experience
Proven experience managing projects with accountability for delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and resources. Understanding of NEC contracts or similar, with experience in contract administration and compliance. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Competency in project management tools such as MS Project and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Qualifications
