About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen within the London Borough of Redbridge for an experienced, skilled and dynamic Property Lawyer to join the Council and provide a comprehensive and professional legal service on a permanent basis. You will report to the Principal Lawyer – Property and Planning within the Legal Department and work closely with other Council departmental clients and specialist departments. Your role will involve providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of property-related development work.
You will be responsible for providing expertise and practical assistance on local government law in property development, conducting a full range of residential and commercial property cases, including advocacy in Courts or Tribunals if required. You will manage your own complex and varied caseload covering residential and commercial property, regeneration, homeownership, and land transactions.
Experience
- Experience of property development work, preferably in a local government context
- Ability to conduct a caseload within your area of expertise without supervision
- Advocacy experience is required but not essential

Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, FILEX or equivalent qualification
