Working as a Principal or Associate Public Health Design Engineer within a mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) discipline team, you will provide design expertise on a wide range of Rail projects. You will take responsibility for producing detailed and performance specifications for the discipline, subject to review by colleagues prior to issue. You will provide mark-ups to the BIM/CAD Team to develop the Public Health design in the 3D model and review the completed 3D model to ensure coordination with all other disciplines including MEP, Fire, Architectural and Structure.

You will produce calculations for the Public Health design on allocated projects and ensure that the design is fully compliant with relevant industry standards, Client Standards and various project requirements.

Requirements

Experience
A good attention to detail and pride in the work produced. Detailed understanding of building regulations and British Standards applicable to Public Health engineering and the ability to demonstrate this through calculations. Experience working with Bentley Microstation, Revit MEP or other 3D design software to allocate and direct work on projects. Working knowledge of AutoCAD to allocate and direct work on projects.

Technical knowledge in the following aspects of Public Health design is essential:
- Building Water Services Design including domestic hot and cold water, greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting
- Building Sanitary Drainage Design
- Building Surface Water Drainage Design
- Building Fire Suppression Systems Design
- Building Gas Services Design
