About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to work within the Housing Capital Program Mechanical and Electrical Team. You will be part of a team responsible for Quantity Surveying requirements for building services projects. The post holder will take ownership of cost control and quantity surveying matters for the section, requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and project stakeholders.
You will gain a good understanding of contract law and cost management of construction and building services projects. Responsibilities include ensuring the organisation is kept up to date on expenditure for works undertaken and attending project meetings both virtually and in person.
The role requires effective use of existing information technology platforms to update and retrieve information efficiently. A Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check for regulated activity will be required.

Experience
Experience in quantity surveying within mechanical and electrical building services or construction projects is desirable. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage cost control effectively are essential.
