About the Role
If you are a Mechanical Inspector with drive and ambition, this is an excellent opportunity to join the M&E Building Services team responsible for repair and maintenance works across the London Borough of Islington. You will ensure excellent quality control processes are in place and that high standards of work are carried out in compliance with contract documentation. Your responsibilities will include maintaining detailed inspection records for audit purposes on projects such as communal heating repair and maintenance works, major works on communal heating plant, and other mechanical projects within the borough.
The successful candidate will ideally have a proven track record in mechanical inspection on communal heating projects and the ability to maintain the highest standards in mechanical engineering. You will manage and coordinate your own workload with minimal supervision, have an understanding of procurement and contract administration processes, and maintain clear records of project outcomes.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering is essential, along with the ability to overcome challenges to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. You will join a team of dedicated professionals focused on excellent customer care and maintaining communal mechanical services to a good standard.
You will be expected to be familiar with statutory Health and Safety policies, procedures, and the latest CDM Regulations to effectively carry out the role. A basic DBS check for regulated activity will be required.

Experience
Proven experience in a Mechanical Inspector role, ideally with communal heating projects. Experience managing workload independently and knowledge of procurement and contract administration processes.
