About the Role
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is one of the UK government’s largest public service departments, managing an estate spanning 1.4 million square metres across 800+ sites and supporting around 78,000 colleagues. DWP Estates is responsible for the day-to-day operation and strategic transformation of this vast portfolio, delivering essential services such as Security Guarding, Maintenance, Property and Leasehold Management, Construction, Cleaning and Facilities Management through a private sector supply chain.

This role supports the strategic planning processes and analysis for a significant portfolio within the DWP Estate. It establishes core links between Real Estate Relationship Managers and Business Intelligence Teams, blending data-driven insights with strategic customer intelligence to design and drive forward the Portfolio Strategy Plan.

The Estates strategy ambitions to 2030 focus on optimising the estate to be smaller, more affordable and adaptable; investing in infrastructure; embedding sustainability aligned with Government Greening Commitments; delivering cost-effective services; and fostering a best-in-class professional working culture across the Government Property profession.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning Estates team and contribute to shaping the future of the DWP estate through strategic asset management and portfolio planning.
