As Resourcing Lead, you will lead on recruitment policy for HM Treasury, implementing a new Civil Service recruitment framework expected in early 2027 and updating policy accordingly. You will work across the department to inform rollout approaches and develop training. Advising senior leaders on resourcing policies and governance, you will help the department meet headcount targets and implement recruitment controls, including designing processes and communication.

You will advise hiring managers and leaders on workforce planning and resourcing decisions, working with the senior Workforce Panel to agree recruitment approaches, handling policy queries and escalations, and advising on loans and secondments. You will lead redeployment of staff without permanent roles, overseeing matching processes, policy changes, and engagement with Trade Unions.

Providing leadership to operational recruitment and onboarding teams, you will support the introduction of new systems and ways of working, including line management of at least one staff member. You will drive innovation and continuous improvement in recruitment and onboarding by collaborating with HR Operations Transformation and team leads to enhance efficiency through technology and process changes. You will also support the Head of Resource and Reward in branch leadership and participate in wider People & Capability team activities and projects.

This is a job share role, sharing responsibilities with an existing post holder (0.6 FTE). The vacancy covers at least Monday and Tuesday, with flexibility to discuss job patterns.

Experience
Ability to weigh conflicting stakeholder perspectives, policy and risks and make recommendations in the best interest of the organisation. Experience delivering complex projects involving significant stakeholder engagement, ideally with a people focus.

About you
Ability to understand fast-changing organisational needs and ensure team alignment. Strong communication and influencing skills. Leadership capability and problem-solving aptitude. Comfortable advising senior leaders and managing escalations.

Qualifications
No prior qualifications required, but willingness to work towards a CIPD qualification once in post.
