About the Role
Majestic Wine Crouch End are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and driven Assistant Manager. As a Majestic Assistant Manager, you will support your Store Manager in driving sales performance and the day-to-day running of the store. You will deliver an exceptional customer experience while optimising KPI performance and maintaining high operational standards. Supporting and developing more junior team members to reach their full potential is a key part of this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as an ambassador for the store, ensuring an outstanding shopping experience for every customer
- Supporting the Store Manager and taking responsibility for the store and team in their absence
- Driving store performance by maximising sales opportunities and building plans to improve and exceed KPIs
- Delivering market-leading customer service to foster business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases
- Offering customers a VIP concierge service with product updates and tastings
- Sharing your passion and knowledge of the product range, managing tasting events and executing a commercially savvy tasting counter
- Supporting recruitment, management and development of the team, providing guidance and feedback
- Helping junior team members develop product knowledge and achieve WSET qualifications while continuously developing your own
- Taking pride and accountability for the store’s physical appearance and maintenance, ensuring swift reporting and resolution of issues
- Identifying opportunities to optimise operational running of the store
- Ensuring full compliance with internal policies, processes and mandatory training
- Supporting communication of store, regional and business updates
Driving is a key part of this position, requiring comfort in driving company vans with a full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months.
Experience
- Experience working as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service
- Understanding of retail KPIs and experience driving improvements

Qualifications
- Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points
