At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our Metering team, joining the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector. We provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters. Our meter readers install, maintain and manage meters to ensure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.
As a Revenue Protection Officer, you will investigate, detect, and prevent gas and electricity theft in residential and commercial properties. You will be responsible for making sure installations are made safe and will work with the supplier to agree on further actions. You will collect evidence and provide information to the client to decide next steps.
You will also be involved in debt recovery work, which may include metering tasks such as installing SMART meters or de-energising/disconnecting supplies.
Customer service is key; you will demonstrate professionalism and integrity, maintaining calm and professionalism in challenging situations.
This role offers career progression opportunities. Previous experience as a Revenue Protection Officer or in conflict management is useful but not essential. A positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset is required. Non-technical or single fuel entrants will be upskilled to become qualified dual fuel engineers with full training on revenue protection and conflict management.

Experience
Previous experience as a Revenue Protection Officer or in conflict management is useful but not essential. A strong customer service background is required, with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
