About the Role
At M Group Energy, we deliver essential infrastructure services across electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation. Join our Metering team, the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, delivering efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters.

As a Smart Meter Dual Fuel Engineer, you will respond to emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of EON, ensuring customers’ Smart Meters (SMETS2) are installed, maintained, and working correctly. You will complete around 5 jobs per day, including installation and removal of smart meters in customers’ homes, while providing excellent customer service and explaining the benefits and safe usage of smart meters.

You will travel around your area using a tablet to manage your schedule, which is accessible up to two weeks in advance. Continuous training will be provided to maintain and develop your skills, with a strong focus on health and safety. You will be supported by weekly meetings, catch-ups, and field management assistance, ensuring no day is the same and offering endless opportunities to progress your career.

Experience
- Experience installing gas and electric smart meters is preferred.
- Previous MOCOPA experience to a multi-rate level is desirable.

Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence held for at least 1 year with less than 6 points.
- CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 all with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel preferred but not essential.
- Bonus qualifications such as REGT1, 3 phase, and EUSR portal registration are advantageous but not required.
