About the Role

You will join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, working within the Metering team to install, maintain and manage smart meters for gas, electricity, and water to ensure accurate billing and monitor energy usage patterns.

As a Smart Meter Dual Fuel Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and removal of smart meters (SMETS2) in customers’ homes, completing around 5 jobs per day. You will engage with customers to explain the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meters, ensuring excellent customer service. You will travel around your area using a tablet to manage your schedule, which is available up to 2 weeks in advance.

Continuous training will be provided to maintain and develop your skills, with a strong focus on health and safety. You will be supported by regular team meetings and field managers who offer assistance and guidance. This role offers varied daily tasks and numerous opportunities for career progression within M Group Energy.

Experience
- Experience installing gas and electric smart meters
- Previous MOCOPA experience to a multi-rate level is desirable

About you
- Valid UK driving licence held for at least 1 year with less than 6 points
- Enjoy working independently and engaging with customers
- Customer service focused with good communication skills

Qualifications
- CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 all with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel preferred but not essential
- Bonus qualifications such as REGT1, 3 phase are advantageous
- Ideally registered on the EUSR portal
