Location
London Borough of Lewisham - a community-focused role with a balance of office-based and field-based working across the borough.

Hours
Flexible working hours including the ability to attend evening meetings, work outside normal office hours and beyond minimum hours when required to meet deadlines.

Salary
£45,852 - £47,925 per annum (PO2)
All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role unless matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) with evidential proof.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with significant experience in anti-social behaviour, community safety and statutory nuisance investigations. You will have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and enforcement powers, managing complex cases and making sound decisions based on evidence and professional judgement.

You will build effective relationships with residents, colleagues and partner agencies, recognising that successful outcomes are often delivered through collaborative working. Your ability to communicate clearly, negotiate effectively and work in partnership with organisations such as the Police, housing providers and other stakeholders will be essential.

The role involves investigating and resolving complaints relating to anti-social behaviour, statutory nuisance and community safety using a range of enforcement powers where appropriate. You will manage complex casework, gather evidence, prepare legal documentation, attend court or hearings when required, and participate in out-of-hours enforcement and patrol work.

Requirements

Experience
Significant experience in anti-social behaviour, community safety and statutory nuisance investigations. Proven ability to manage complex cases and apply relevant legislation and enforcement powers effectively.

Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships, solving complex problems and working collaboratively with partners. Able to maintain a visible presence through patrols and support community safety initiatives.

Good numeracy and literacy skills with a minimum of GCSE A-C including Maths and English.

Able to attend meetings in the evenings, work outside normal office hours and beyond minimum hours when required.

The role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
