About the Role
As a Sales Associate at Selfridges, you are an essential part of a team dedicated to creating the extraordinary experiences our customers expect. Customer service is at the heart of what you do, acting as an expert for all things Selfridges and the go-to person to assist customers. You will be fully knowledgeable about the store, including the latest products, events, and exclusive services.
You will work collaboratively to build rapport, share product knowledge, and cater to customer needs, ensuring a memorable experience. Your responsibilities include conducting sales, refunds, and exchanges, helping customers find suitable alternatives or offering online services when necessary. From selling and replenishing stock to organising rails and hosting, you will maintain the highest retail standards.
You will be open to customer feedback and use it constructively to continually raise the bar for service, sales, and retail standards in your area. Managing and overseeing stock in your department will be part of your role, including unpacking deliveries, completing audits, and maintaining the stock room. The role is flexible and may require working across different departments, bringing your service excellence and collaborative spirit with you.
Using your natural curiosity, you will stay ahead of the latest trends by expanding your knowledge of products and competitors. You will also follow health, safety, and security procedures, playing an active role in preventing stock loss. Selfridges uses competency and strength-based questions during the interview process, with support available at every stage.
