About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Relief Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security provision, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our client’s sites, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and assets. Relief Security Officers strengthen existing teams and will be called on for core and adhoc activities including advanced notification of shifts, filling vacancies in the security team rota, supporting cover for sickness and holidays, and other additional tasking.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Physical security of client premises
- Conducting regular patrols
- Responding promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action
- Enforcing access control and verifying the identity of individuals on-site
- Providing excellent customer service by assisting and guiding visitors
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of security-related activities
- Collaborating with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
- Ensuring high standards at all times and maintaining the professional image of ISS
- Undertaking induction and training as needed
- Promoting a secure and safe working environment at client sites

Experience
Proven experience in security or a related field is required.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends

- New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development

Qualifications
Valid SIA licence is essential. Additional training and induction will be provided as part of the role.
