About the Role
The Psycho-oncology Support Team provides specialised psychological care to individuals affected by cancer and receiving ongoing medical care across Guy's Cancer, including Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals and Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup. The service is delivered to individuals as inpatients and outpatients, as well as their carers. Key responsibilities include triaging referrals, assessing risk under supervision, booking appointments, and communicating with referrers, MDTs, and GPs. You will assist in the organisation and facilitation of CBT/third wave psychoeducation programmes and work within a psychologically based framework to enhance the quality of care for individuals, carers, and families affected by cancer and other haematological disorders. Additionally, you will contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, help develop clinical resources, and participate in project work and service audits.
Experience
Previous experience in a psychological care setting is desirable but not essential.

You should be enthusiastic about psychological care, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to professional development and maintaining high standards of practice is essential.
Qualifications
A relevant degree in psychology or a related field is required. You should be working towards or have completed a postgraduate qualification in psychology.
