About the Role
The Senior Assistant Psychologist will undertake assessments and interventions, including self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect observations, and semi-structured interviews of clients, family members, and others involved in the clients' care. You will assist in developing psychologically based frameworks of understanding and care to benefit all clients of the service. Responsibilities include formulating and delivering care plans involving psychological treatment and/or management of clients' problems, coordinating and running therapeutic groups, compiling risk histories to inform care plans, and supporting the delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions. You will also liaise with key stakeholders, maintain clinical records, and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings while promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion for service users and their families.
Experience
Experience in clinical settings is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn and develop skills is essential.
About you
You should be compassionate, dedicated, and able to work effectively in challenging environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with service users and team members are crucial.
Qualifications
A degree in Psychology or a related field is required. Familiarity with the BPS code of Conduct and Ethics is essential.
