You will join a team of 5 Consultants, 2 Specialist Registrars and 3 specialist orthopaedic nurses and will be expected to provide an elective orthopaedic and trauma service in conjunction with colleagues.You will be expected to participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care, to take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, and to contribute to the management of the clinical service and service development. The Department is keen to help the post holder to develop their area(s) of clinical interest and has a flexible approach in this regard. This is a non-on call post but you will be accountable to liaise with the trauma team and to co-ordinate cover arrangements for internal and regional referrals during the week (08:00-17:00). As an organisation we are committed to developing our services in ways that best suit the needs of our patients. This means that some staff groups will increasingly be asked to work a more flexible shift pattern so that we can offer services in the evenings or at weekends. Department Information This is the tertiary Childrens Orthopaedic Service for South London and associated counties. It is also the local hospital for many children in South London. As such it attracts Royal College and PMETB training approval for fellowships such as this. The fellowship is a 12 month appointment from the beginning of August 2025 until the end of July 2026 at the Evelina London Childrens Hospital.
