About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients further afield. The Trust is home to Europe’s largest dental school, a £160 million Cancer Centre, and Evelina London Children’s Hospital, among other specialist units. It is part of King’s Health Partners and offers world-leading clinical research facilities including an MHRA accredited Phase I clinical trials unit.

We are recruiting a Senior Clinical Research Practitioner / Team Lead for the Gynaecology Oncology Team within one of London’s largest haematology and oncology research teams. This role offers the opportunity to build a career in research, leading the coordination and set-up of a portfolio of clinical trials, recruiting trial patients, collecting and reporting data, and supporting patients and their carers throughout treatment. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and a commitment to improving patient choices, care, and outcomes.

The role combines clinical and managerial responsibilities, including managing a team of clinical research delivery staff and a portfolio of research studies to ensure high quality research and clinical care. Key duties include reviewing protocols, identifying resource needs, participating in meetings, proposing action plans for underperforming studies, training and mentoring staff, leading service development, contributing to the research business plan, and managing a caseload of participants. The post holder will ensure excellence in research delivery and participant experience.
