About the Role We are looking for an experienced senior communications and engagement officer to work with the Communication and Engagement Lead, Major Projects to support the activity of the council’s priority regeneration projects. The role will also lead and support communications and engagement activity for other priority projects within the Transform Kingston portfolio, the Reimagining New Malden portfolio, other development sites and other corporate projects/campaigns as required. We work across the full range of communications disciplines: media relations, social media and digital, campaign design, community engagement, staff communications and engagement, research, consultation techniques and behaviour change methodology. About You We are looking for an exceptional candidate who has significant experience in communications and engagement, ideally with experience in regeneration and development. You’ll be an excellent writer with a strong understanding of audiences and channels. You will have experience of delivering campaigns that engage audiences and encourage behaviour change. Applicants should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and have strong experience in a relevant public relations, communications or media role. An understanding of the working of local government and the specific demands of working in a political environment would be especially welcomed.
