About the Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our Windows-based infrastructure running in AWS. This role focuses on operational excellence, security, automation, and developer enablement. You will collaborate closely with product engineering teams to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and easy to deploy, while driving improvements in CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure automation. Key responsibilities include managing and operating Windows Server environments in AWS (EC2), owning patching and vulnerability management processes, monitoring security events, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or similar tools, developing automation with PowerShell, designing monitoring and alerting systems, troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues, supporting release processes, participating in on-call rotations, and leading incident response and post-mortems. Experience
- Extensive experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
- Proven experience managing Windows Server infrastructure, preferably in AWS
- Experience with patching, vulnerability remediation, and security event handling
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred)
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting production systems
- Ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams and support production workloads

Qualifications
- Experience with Active Directory integration in AWS (Managed AD, AD Connector) is desirable
- Familiarity with Sitecore CMS, other .NET applications, and IIS in production is a plus
- Experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for patching and automation is advantageous
- Exposure to containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog or OpenTelemetry is preferred
- Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation is a plus
