About the Role
What if you could shape a career as unique as you? At WSP, you can always find opportunities to grow and do what matters to you. Make the most of our global reach to discover new challenges and chances to work with diverse, talented individuals who will help you expand your horizons. As a Senior Fire Engineer, you’ll typically be working on a variety of projects at once, from a university in Scotland to a high-rise residential tower in London, including many international projects. Your goal will be to enable innovative architectural design without compromising on the fire safety of the building. You will review design information, liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures, present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and advise the design team on changes to increase building safety. You will be guided through various software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from the start. We foster a collaborative environment and regularly hold social events. In addition to your day-to-day role, we will support your professional registration via IFE and other professional organisations. WSP offers a bespoke development programme designed to provide professional skills and specialist technical growth, supported by senior leadership. This structured programme includes training in technical report writing, team-specific technical skills, project management (introductory and advanced), influential communications, commercial concepts, collaborative team challenges and continuous improvement.
