About the Role
As a Senior Integrated Commissioning Support Officer, you will provide programme, contract and financial support to the Integrated Commissioning service. You will work closely with managers across the directorate and health partners to support improved outcomes for children and young people. The role combines three connected functions:
- Programme and project support: maintaining programme documentation, tracking deliverables, preparing highlight reports and supporting boards and working groups.
- Contract and provider support: supplier onboarding and set up, contract records, monitoring returns and provider queries.
- Financial support: requisitions and purchase orders, invoice processing, payment runs, accruals, recharges and compliance monitoring.
This role is flexible and responsive to the needs of the service, ensuring engagement and input to development across integrated commissioning.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in commissioning, contracts or health settings with up-to-date knowledge of national and local policy drivers for children’s services across the council and NHS.
Knowledge of programme and project management concepts, principles and practices.
Good understanding of children and families services, policy, legislation and practice, including finance and contracts.
Working knowledge of finance and contract recording systems used in children’s services, ideally ContrOCC and Oracle.
Experience of supporting projects and programmes in dynamic and changing environments.
Experience of service planning and transformation within education, children’s social care or health commissioning.
Proven track record of delivering contract, financial or payment support within a children’s services context.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills appropriate for a wide range of audiences.
Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, able to work with high-level internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to use financial and contract recording systems accurately and timely.
Ability to create and use data and intelligence to inform work.
Proactive problem solver, working independently and collaboratively.
Good IT skills including MS Office, with willingness to develop presentation and analysis skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
High level of personal and professional integrity, gaining respect and confidence of colleagues, stakeholders and providers.
Collaborative approach to developing solutions and improving services.
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Standard DBS check required.
