About the Role
As a Senior Medical Statistician, you will provide effective leadership and specialist statistical expertise to the British Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (BSBMTCT). Your role will involve facilitating research from accrued study data and undertaking the required data analyses with a view to publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals. You will project manage statistical research projects and other BSBMTCT initiatives to meet business plans and key work objectives. Additionally, you will oversee feasibility reviews on potential new studies, recommend appropriate cohort sizes, and assist with the reporting of studies and writing of papers for publication. Clear communication of statistical and analytical matters to a diverse range of stakeholders will be essential, as will collaboration with national and international registries and bodies.
Experience
Proven experience in statistical analysis and project management within a medical or clinical research setting.
About you
You are an effective communicator capable of conveying complex information in an understandable manner. You possess strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team. Experience in collaborating with pharmaceutical companies and understanding their requirements is advantageous.
Qualifications
A relevant degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related field is required. Advanced statistical training and experience with statistical software are essential.
