We are growing our Mine Engineering & Stability Team to provide integrated mining studies and advisory services that meet client objectives and solve complex challenges. As a Senior Mining Engineer, you will lead mining studies and projects from conception to completion across all stages of the mine life cycle. You will provide expert advice on mining methods, development paths, life of mine planning, and optimisation strategies. Your role includes developing cost models, conducting financial analyses, supporting due diligence reviews for mergers and acquisitions or project finance, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. You will act as a key interface between mine advisory disciplines and capital projects, asset management, and environmental groups. Domestic and international travel will be required to support project work. Safety leadership is paramount, and you will play a vital role in identifying and mitigating high priority safety hazards. Additionally, you will mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their professional growth. Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in a similar mining engineering role with a strong track record in long-term mine planning and operations. Proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, and Surpac. Previous consulting experience is highly regarded. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor engineers at various levels.
