About the Role
As a Senior Specialist Hand Therapist, you will perform advanced musculo-skeletal assessments of plastic surgery and hand patients, including those with highly complex presentations. You will formulate diagnosis and treatment plans, working as an autonomous practitioner. In this role, you will take a lead in supervising, teaching, and appraising senior, junior, and assistant physiotherapists and occupational therapists, as well as physiotherapy and OT students, including those at the Masters level. As the team leader, you will be responsible for the operational management and overall development of the designated team, particularly concerning all aspects of clinical governance. You will also deputise for the service manager as required, supervise and initiate evidence-based projects, and be responsible for implementing changes within the designated team/area while setting and monitoring standards of practice.

Experience
Significant experience in hand therapy and musculo-skeletal assessment is essential.

Qualifications
A relevant degree in physiotherapy or occupational therapy and appropriate professional registration are required. Additional qualifications in hand therapy are desirable.
