About the Role
Do you see yourself making a real difference to people facing the sharpest health and social inequalities? Can you use your organisational and communication skills to support a service that changes lives? If yes, we have the perfect role for you! Our ITAV and Pause Service is looking for a dedicated Service Coordinator to join our amazing team and help make a difference today.
At Southwark Council, we are committed to addressing health and social inequalities. We recognise that people facing Multiple Disadvantage (MD) often experience the sharpest inequalities and are too frequently underserved by systems that focus on single issues rather than the wider picture.
As Service Coordinator, you will provide comprehensive, confidential administrative and coordination support to the ITAV and Pause teams, enabling staff to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently. You will support project management processes, including contributing to targets and recording outcomes. You will manage sensitive communications with service users in complex situations and professionals from a wide range of backgrounds. Additionally, you will ensure accurate data collection, monitoring and analysis to support service improvement.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term / Secondment opportunity to gain experience in one of the most exciting, rewarding and challenging areas within health and social care.
Experience
- Experience in business administration and providing high-quality support.
- Confidence managing contact with service users and multi-agency professionals in complex circumstances.
- Experience in data collection, monitoring and analysis.
- Understanding of project management principles and experience contributing to targets and outcomes.
About you
You are a well-organised, creative and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable and marginalised individuals. You are flexible, collaborative, and committed to ensuring people who need support most are able to access it.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of data protection requirements and the importance of confidentiality, particularly in highly sensitive environments.
- Enhanced DBS required.
