Description
Your role will be to operationally lead the department, balancing the day-to-day delivery of safe and effective services, with developing and implementing improvement projects in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary leadership teams.You will provide leadership and expert advice to your teams to help deliver high standards of care and a quality, patient-centred service with an ethos around continuous improvement. The post holder will need to have experience of operational service delivery and needs to be flexible and adaptable to the requirements of a fast-paced cancer service. Outstanding communication, networking and organisational skills are essential.This is a challenging operational role, but represents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to have a genuine impact on the accessibility, quality and safety of cancer services for our patients. The role represents an ideal opportunity for the post holder to further their skills and progress their career into a senior management role.You will need a clear and thorough understanding of NHS challenges and opportunities. Additionally, the post holder will be required to be confident in delivering operational initiatives to successfully meet critical performance targets including the Cancer Wait Times, and competent in complex data handling and IT skills. You will benefit from dedicated support from the directorate senior management team in delivering your objectives.
