About the Role
Croydon Council is adopting a place-based approach focusing on statutory responsibilities, prevention, early intervention, and a whole family, strengths-based recovery model. This role operates within Adult Social Care Mental Health Service following a recent restructure.

The Service Manager will lead and manage Croydon Adult Social Care Mental Health Locality and Specialised Services, building partnerships with other agencies and internal council departments to ensure a robust network of support that maximises independence for service users.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to act as a strategic lead in the development and continuous improvement of the service. Reporting to the Head of Service, you will implement and monitor the service plan, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and statutory guidance. Key legislation includes the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and other relevant laws and transformation agendas for health and social care.

The role is pivotal in ensuring adults with mental health needs have their social care needs met effectively and in line with statutory requirements.

Experience
Proven leadership and management experience within adult social care or mental health services is essential. Experience working within statutory frameworks and partnership environments is highly desirable.

Qualifications
