About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a comprehensive range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust is renowned for clinical excellence, high quality teaching, research, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient experience and safe, high quality care.
We are seeking a proactive, forward-thinking and enthusiastic Service Manager to lead and develop our International and Private Care services within Women’s Health, encompassing maternity, fertility, and gynaecology. This role requires operational leadership across private patient teams, working within a matrix management environment alongside Women’s Directorate Service Managers, clinical leaders, and corporate teams.
The successful candidate will focus on delivering excellent patient experience for private and international patients, ensuring services are well organised, accessible, and responsive to demand. You will lead service development, support new initiatives, and work collaboratively with clinical teams, consultants, marketing, and Private Patient colleagues to grow and enhance the portfolio.
Women’s Private Patient services are delivered across three key locations: the Westminster Private Maternity Suite at St Thomas’ Hospital, the Assisted Conception Unit at Guy’s Hospital, and the Wimpole Street Diagnostics Facility in the Harley Street Medical Area. While private care areas are distinct, close integration with NHS operations requires strong collaboration to ensure seamless service delivery.
This varied and evolving role demands flexibility, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence and deliver change across organisational boundaries. You will be instrumental in embedding new services and ways of working as the Women’s Health portfolio continues to develop.
