About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a Children in Need Team. This role involves working closely with children to assess when they are unable to safely live at home and intervening appropriately based on each child's circumstances. The team focuses on promoting the welfare of children in need to ensure they maintain a reasonable standard of health and development. Strengthening protective practices to reduce risk and placing the child at the centre of all assessments, plans, and reviews are key to achieving positive outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children within a supportive and collaborative environment. Hybrid working arrangements and easy access via public transport are available. The team has received "Outstanding" and "Good" Ofsted inspection results, reflecting the quality and commitment of the service provided.

Experience
Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in permanent social work roles, specifically working with children, young people, and their families.

About you

Experience working with foster carers, special guardians, prospective adopters, and others caring for children is essential. You should be confident in placing the child at the centre of all work and assessments, demonstrating a clear understanding of safeguarding and welfare promotion.

Qualifications
A degree in Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) is required to be considered for this position.
