About the Role
As a Specialist CAMHS Practitioner / Assistant Practitioner, you will provide initial CAMHS assessments drawing on your professional training, clinical skills, and experience. You will use and interpret complex data from a variety of evidence-based sources including routine outcome measures, rating scales, and semi-structured interviews with clients and families. You will formulate and recommend clinical treatment and management plans for emotional and behavioural difficulties based on appropriate conceptual frameworks and evidence-based methods, adhering to clinical guidelines and care pathways such as NICE and CEG.

You will assess and advise the multidisciplinary team (MDT) on treatment options, considering theoretical and therapeutic models alongside complex historical, environmental, and developmental factors affecting the individual, family, or group. You will exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients managed by standard care plans.

General responsibilities include maintaining the highest standards of clinical record keeping, including electronic data entry and report writing, and exercising professional self-governance in line with codes of practice and Trust policies. You will keep up to date with legislation, national and local policies relevant to the client group and mental health.

You will support the development and dissemination of professional standards through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes. You will ensure all mandated and statutory training, professional registration, revalidation, supervision recording, appraisal, and development standards are maintained as required by CNWL and the CAMHS ED Service Line.

Adherence to Trust and local policies regarding annual leave, sickness, absence, and workplace codes of conduct is essential to maintain a safe, effective, and courteous professional environment.

Please note this is an outline of duties and responsibilities and may change to meet the evolving needs of the Trust and Department. Early application is advised as the Trust reserves the right to close the advert once sufficient applications are received.
