We are seeking two experienced and motivated Specialist Clinical Coders to join our dynamic Clinical Coding Department. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a transformative journey in clinical coding and digital health, working within a world-class digital ecosystem that encourages innovation and collaboration.
As a Specialist Clinical Coder, you will accurately abstract, analyse, and assign complex diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications. You will work closely with clinical teams to validate and enhance the quality of coded data, take the lead on specific specialties and complex coding scenarios, mentor junior coders, and contribute to clinical engagement, KPI monitoring, audit preparation, and data quality improvement.

Experience
- Substantial clinical coding expertise across all specialties and levels of complexity
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
About you
- Ability to analyse and abstract complex records
- Ability to resolve complex coding issues and clearly articulate resolutions
- Able to identify data quality issues and coding workflow impediments and use sound intuition to resolve
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality work within demanding timeframes
Qualifications
- Essential: Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC)
- Desirable: Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Desirable: Working knowledge of SQL to interrogate data
