Our Specialist Housing, Care and Support services provide homes and housing management to people who may be socially excluded, disabled, unwell or experiencing homelessness.
We are looking for a Specialist Housing Officer - Agency Managed to join our Care & Support Agency Management team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality housing management services across a portfolio of agency-managed properties. The Agency Management team ensures that high quality housing management services are delivered by partner agencies on Peabody’s behalf.

Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the delivery of a high-quality housing management service across agency-managed properties
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with tenants, managing agents, support providers and leaseholders
- Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for managing agents and support providers across your assigned patch
- Conducting regular scheme audits and analysing quarterly SHiP returns to monitor managing agent performance and service quality
- Ensuring full compliance with Housing Management Contracts, identifying risks early and resolving operational issues promptly
- Carrying out regular property, scheme and estate inspections to ensure standards are maintained
- Managing tenancy, licence and lease issues, ensuring conditions are adhered to
- Coordinating and escalating repairs, working closely with contractors and internal teams to achieve timely resolutions
- Monitoring health and safety compliance and identifying potential risks
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring actions are followed through effectively
- Working collaboratively with Asset Management, Finance, Housing and other departments to deliver excellent customer outcomes
- Supporting the development of strong, thriving communities within your patch
- Contributing to service improvements and achievement of key performance targets
Experience
Experience within housing management, agency-managed services, supported housing, estates services, maintenance, tenancy enforcement, welfare benefits advice, or a similarly challenging customer-facing environment.
Knowledge of housing legislation and good practice relating to rented and supported social housing.
Experience monitoring the performance of contractors and service providers.
