About the Role
At NewDay, we help millions of people move forward with credit. As one of the UK's leading providers of consumer credit, we use data, technology and insight to make smarter decisions for our customers and our business. As a Specialist, Impairment Reporting, you will play a key role in delivering our monthly IFRS 9 impairment reporting, providing valuable insight into portfolio performance and the drivers of expected credit losses. You will work across Credit Risk, Collections and Finance to ensure impairment calculations are accurate, robust and well understood, supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
Your responsibilities will include owning the monthly IFRS 9 impairment reporting process, delivering accurate expected credit loss (ECL) results and providing insight into key performance drivers. You will partner with stakeholders across Credit Risk, Finance and Collections to understand portfolio performance, explain impairment movements and support business decision-making. You will assess the impact of lending, customer management and collections strategies on impairment outcomes, identifying emerging risks and trends. Additionally, you will support the ongoing enhancement of impairment reporting, including PMAs, model parameter updates, validations and business change initiatives. Using Python, SQL and data-led analysis, you will challenge results, generate meaningful insights and provide visibility to senior stakeholders across the business.
NewDay values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer. We foster an inclusive culture where all colleagues can bring their whole selves to work. Reasonable adjustments will be made to support candidates throughout the application and interview process.
