Whole time 10 PA post with an optional extra 2 PA. The role includes flexible working patterns to meet departmental needs, including 7-day working delivery and evolving timetabled duties as agreed mutually.

About the Role
This substantive post is for a Specialty Doctor in Anaesthesia expected to cover theatre lists independently as per an agreed job plan. Occasionally, the post holder may participate in a 1:8 on-call rota for senior obstetric cover. Following satisfactory review, there may be an opportunity to support the non-resident general consultant on-call rota overnight, supervised by a consultant anaesthetist locally or remotely on a case-by-case basis. The role requires flexibility to adapt to changing program activities and evolving departmental needs. The department supports appointees wishing to pursue the PMETB Article 14 route to specialist registration, including educational supervision and career guidance. Participation in formal educational sessions, clinical governance, and quality improvement activities is encouraged. The post holder will be supported to undertake training as clinical and educational supervisors to formally teach trainees and medical students.
Experience
Applicants must be able to work independently and unsupervised in an anaesthetic environment.

Qualifications
