About the Role
The Marketing Analytics team at Tripadvisor is seeking a Sr Data Analyst, Search Marketing who is a strong analyst with sharp data skills, comfortable in SQL, and deeply knowledgeable about the search marketing landscape, including paid and organic search interactions and SERP dynamics. This role requires a solid command of search marketing analytics and the ability to work independently from day one. You will partner closely with channel owners and stakeholders, shaping how less experienced analysts approach search data. You will analyze search performance, ensure accurate measurement of search channel performance, support experimentation through incrementality tests, track SERP changes and Google algorithm updates, analyze competitive and demand landscapes, and stay ahead of AI search developments. Collaboration with CRM, Display, Affiliate Marketing analysts, and ML colleagues is key, as is bringing an AI-curious mindset to improve analysis speed and insight quality. You will also monitor daily search performance, build toward bigger business cases, and contribute to evolving Tripadvisor’s AI search strategy.
Experience
- 3-5 years in an analytical role, ideally in a fast-paced ecommerce company
- Experience in Search Marketing Analytics is a plus
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets
- Basic proficiency in Python
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
- Solid understanding of statistical testing and experimentation

Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with AI-powered analytics or querying tools
- Experience working in a matrixed, cross-functional marketing team
