About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Supply Chain Supervisor within the Procurement Shared Service at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and innovative individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a multi-professional team. You will adapt to an evolving service to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality patient care.

The role involves leading the Supply Chain team on a day-to-day basis across two hospital sites, supporting the implementation of Procurement CIPS standards, and building key relationships with internal and external teams including end users, Finance, and General Managers. You will be responsible for prioritising competing demands and quickly understanding the complexity of the service.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services in south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Procurement Shared Service supports several NHS trusts within London, including Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital sites, Evelina Children’s Hospital, and Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust.

This key operational role will be the face of the service, providing a world-class inventory stock management system and supporting the Supply Chain Manager in delivering a highly effective supply chain service. You will manage a service team, handle day-to-day operational issues, ensure adherence to processes and policies, and monitor and achieve targets.

Experience
- Experience and knowledge of managing inventory management systems and implementing systems within a fast-moving business environment
- Experience of setting objectives, carrying out staff appraisals, and identifying training needs
- Experience of report preparation and recommendation methodology
- Developed customer care and communication skills
- Experience of organisational management in a large organisation
- Experience of performance management including disciplinary policies

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualification or equivalent training and experience

Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills
- Experience of staff rota management in a large organisation
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with systems-based data for interrogation purposes
