About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant (Level 3) Tutor, you will plan and deliver a learning programme in your subject area in line with awarding body specifications and Kingston Adult Education (KAE) policies. You will ensure all course documentation is up to date and induct learners into the programme while implementing Health and Safety, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Safeguarding, Prevent, and other KAE policies. Your responsibilities include assessing learners on entry, monitoring and documenting their progress, negotiating learning objectives to build individual learning plans, and adapting the programme accordingly to ensure differentiation. You will regularly assess and mark learners’ work, providing constructive developmental feedback including spelling, punctuation, and grammar (SPaG). You will deliver sessions both in the classroom and online, preparing learners for exams or portfolio assessments to meet required standards. You will work as part of a dedicated team of Vocational tutors within a supportive environment, with opportunities for continuous professional development.
