About the Role
Join Southwark Council at an exciting time as we lead a major organisation-wide transformation programme, Residents First, designed to put residents at the heart of everything we do. As Transformation Communications Manager, you will be instrumental in bringing this vision to life for over 5,000 colleagues through compelling communications and content that inspire change, build understanding and foster a truly resident-focused culture.

You will design and deliver the transformation communications plan to shape organisational culture and support successful change. Leading the development of engaging content and campaigns, you will translate complex transformation activities into clear, inspiring messages for colleagues. Using insight, feedback and evaluation, you will measure engagement and continuously improve communications.

Working collaboratively with HR, Organisational Development, Change and Strategy teams, you will support behaviour change, increase leadership visibility and promote colleague wellbeing. You will provide strategic communications advice to senior stakeholders including directors, the Chief Executive and Corporate Management Team members. Your role will also involve leading communication planning for key transformation milestones and programmes across the organisation, developing compelling narratives and creative storytelling that encourage colleagues to embrace change.

Experience
- Proven experience working on large, organisation-wide transformation communications programmes
- Significant expertise in planning, delivering and evaluating transformation communications strategies and activities
- Experience engaging and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, including providing strategic communications advice to senior leaders
- Skilled in producing content across digital channels and managing external suppliers and agencies
- Experience supporting organisational culture change through communication and engagement activity
