About the Role
We are seeking engaging and committed individuals to join us as casual tutors to teach Counselling at Level 1, 2, or 3. You do not need to be able to teach all levels; please specify which levels you can teach in your supporting statement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support Thurrock residents in developing their skills and confidence in counselling, a subject relevant to everyday life and work.

Thurrock Adult Community College is the local authority’s provider of adult education for Thurrock, based at the Old Court House in Grays, with courses delivered across the borough. As a tutor, you will be responsible for planning courses and lessons, creating resources, delivering lessons, marking learners’ work, and providing developmental feedback.

Experience of teaching adults is desirable. This role requires an Enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List.

Experience
Previous and relevant industry experience in counselling is essential. Experience of teaching adults is desirable.

Qualifications
Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths are required. Ideally, you will hold a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. You must have a qualification or relevant experience in counselling for the level(s) you wish to teach.
