About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a wide range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust includes Evelina London Children’s Hospital, one of the largest critical care units in the UK, and since 2021, the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals have joined the Trust, enhancing expertise in heart and lung disease.
We are seeking an Administrator to join the Universal Services Team within Evelina Community Services. This role supports the delivery of seamless services for children in Lambeth and Southwark by providing high quality administrative and operational support.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their administrative and management skills in a busy healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to prioritise a demanding workload, and perform well under pressure.
Main duties include providing administrative support such as booking meeting rooms and hospitality, organising equipment, ordering supplies, supporting meetings by preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining departmental databases, and providing cross cover within the administrative team. The role also involves acting as the first point of contact for callers, visitors, and deliveries, managing diaries, and organising meetings and events.
The post holder will be key to the smooth running of the service, coordinating appointment bookings, managing incoming calls and shared inboxes, and liaising with Universal Service teams and the wider Trust. A good understanding of clinical systems, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential.
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is committed to providing high quality, safe, and efficient care with a motivated and engaged workforce. The Trust supports flexible working arrangements to promote a healthy work-life balance and is dedicated to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
